Fit Football at Ewood Park

The Full Story

From a simple idea to a thriving community, here’s how it all started.

Fit Football UK was born from one question I asked myself:

“What’s the easiest way to lose a bit of weight, enjoy football again, and not have to go through the hassle of organising a team every week?”

I’m Paul Mountford, the founder. Like a lot of lads, I wanted to get fitter and feel better — but turning up to a 5-a-side league without a team just wasn’t an option. So I thought, what if we built a league where anyone could join on their own, and we’d take care of the rest?

We started with a handful of players, a few bibs, and a big idea — and from there, Fit Football UK grew into something much bigger.

What We Offer

We now run a full, year-round members’ league, where individuals of all abilities are placed into balanced teams — no egos, no cliques, just good football and a chance to improve.

More Than Just a Game

Fit Football isn’t just about physical health.
It’s about mental fitness, social connection, and feeling like yourself again.
We’ve seen lads come through our doors who were struggling, isolated, or just needed something to focus on — and walk out fitter, happier, and part of a team again.

We’re proud of the community we’ve built, and the things we’ve done together:

From 11-a-side charity matches at Ewood Park, to footgolf days, tournaments at Deepdale, and weekly sessions that bring people back to the game they love.

A Place for Everyone

We’ve got coaches, organisers, and volunteers working behind the scenes to make sure everyone feels welcome — whether you’ve not kicked a ball in years, or just want to enjoy the game without the drama.

Fit Football UK is built on teamwork, respect, and a shared drive to be better — in every way.

Thanks for checking us out — we’d love to have you down. Whether you're here to get fit, clear your head, or just play some decent football, there’s a place for you at Fit Football UK.

We’ll see you on the pitch.
